The Diocese of Our Shepherd Of The Hills (DOSTH) was created with the consecration of Fr Ed Crabtree as a diocesan Bishop on 21 April, in the year of our Lord 2010 during the Feast of Saint Anselm. [1] Reverend Crabtree was elevated to the episcopacy by the Most Reverend Francis Sahuque of the Holy Name Of Jesus Anglo Catholic Communion.
This new diocese serves the people of the Missouri Ozarks and beyond through the traditions established by the "Old Catholic" movement, also known as the Independent Catholic or Free Catholic movement. Although we do possess valid lines of Apostolic Succession, recognized by the Roman Catholic church, we of the Old Catholic/reformed Catholic/independent sacramental movement, are not under the jurisdiction of the Holy See in Rome.
